THE IMPERIOUS LEADER'S COMMANDSTAR
The Cylon COMMANDSTAR (Colonial Classification Name - EREBUS CLASS) is the personal transport of the Cylon Imperious Leader Erebus.
Not much is known about the EREBUS CLASS COMMANDSTAR - or even if it is actually a "Commandstar" in the sense of the meaning recognized by the Colonial Navy. What is known has been gleaned only from Colonial Intelligence sources, electronic intercepts and estimates as the EREBUS CLASS has never been encountered face to face by Colonial Forces - it usually staying well behind the front lines.
What is known about the EREBUS CLASS is as follows:
* It is the only one of it's class.
* Though built along the same basic geometric design as the Hades Class Basestar - it is much larger and better armed - combining systems from both the Cylon Basestar and Gunstar type warships.
* Though easily one of the largest Cylon Warships ever built - it has never been encountered in combat. From it's few movements that can be tracked - it's sole purpose seems to be the transport and protection of the Imperious Leader.
* Anytime the Imperious Leader travels away from the home planet - it is in this ship.
* Anytime the ship has the Imperious Leader aboard it is heavily escorted and protected by major units of the Cylon Fleet.
* The Fighters carried by the ship are special limited production "High Performance" types with capabilities many times above the normal fighters encountered in regular Cylon combat units.
Though the exact number of the crew carried by the EREBUS CLASS is unknown - what is known is that besides the absolute best Centurions the Cylon Empire can build and program - a high number of IL Series units are also carried to serve the Imperious Leader. Also carried are a large number of "Elite Guard" units of both Pilots and Soldiers who's sole duty is the protection of the Imperious Leader.
