Not 100% sure but I think the raider being offered is the old Salizo raider.
I have one of the original kits and it is a great kit.

Jase at the studio scale site is a MASTER model maker. His kit will be quality.

Man, you guys stop finding ways to make me spend my money ;)

He has just posted that due to Mobius getting the TOS Galactica model rights that he has stop production of the Cylon Raider kit.

The picture of the raider that was displayed at Wonderfest last weekend was one of the Salizo v2 kits (which Jason now owns the masters for).

It was given to Mobius to use as a reference for their 1/32 raider which is almost studio scale.

I don't know if that kit is... but one of the Admins at Studio Scale Modelers was going to make new SS Raider kits.

Mike's kits of the Viper, and the Raider came from the masters the Jim Keys made. The Raider was off just a bit on the original release. The profile was just a bit low. It had to be re-built up a bit (around 10% higher). Either way this model is a great model that sold out very quickly when it was released around 2005. Yes it is very accurate.

None that I know of, and to tell you the truth I have never heard of a mold being pulled off a screen used ship before. There have been way to many reference photos out there to be to much of a concern, but I wouldn't doubt if there has been a pull or two made white it was still in Universal's hand.

Totally agree.I can remember that I read somewhere that some kits was based on an original pyro cylon raider.

Hey guys, great site here, long time lurker and first time poster. I know this thread is kind of old but wanted to clarify some of this.

The Jim Key stuff went to a friend of mine Jesse, he had the viper and CR raider v1 re release.

I worked out a totally new viper, 100% scratchbuilt with no lineage to any casting. It was size corrected to 15 1/2 inches instead of the 14 7/8 (approx) kits, CR, JM, Monsters in Motion etc. It was made symmetrical, as much as possible anyway at the time, and was "idealized" in that sense as well as a few others to make it a more friendly kit. For example it had the hero panel lines on both sides, the engines were true round instead of having 1/3 of the attached to the rear detail plate, etc. All stuff in favor of making it "cleaner"

For the raider, working with Jesse and having access to a "pyro" that he purchased I rebuilt much of the CR kit. Total new top, with the correct curvature and height to the top, also fixed the slightly oversized rear engine louvers, along with a handful of other stuff. Again a number of compromises needed to me made to make it cleaner and more symmetrical than the studio model.

Jase at SSModelers now has both of the pattern masters, I do not know his current plan with them.

Thanks, and again great site, hope to share more here in the model threads soon.
