Early posts said he might kit out a few. Probably won't be able to afford one, sadly. :(
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

Hey Guys, that's my 1/2 scale galactica. I was going to start a thread here in the next week or so, but you guys beat me to it.

It's been a very long road on this one, hundreds of hours just making the pattern. It's a compromise on the details, it kind of needs to be as very little is available greeblie wise in 1/2 size. The studio galactica is tough enough with knowing the details and kit parts, spoke with a couple of the galactica guru's like Charles Adams and he has always been under the impression that doing a true details by detail 3 footer as 2 to 3x the work of doing a studio scale one. I did not think that i could practically handle something with that much work so a comprise was in order. It winds up being a bit of "slight of hand", trying to match the essence of details, square thingy here, round thingy here type of thing, but also layering in details to give it the sense of scale that i wanted.

It's been a real labor of love for sure, lots of late nights and early mornings. I have started some fiber optics today and really hope to have this prototype assembled and painted before it gets too cold. I am hoping to get to work over the winter doing some ragtags in this same scale.
thanks
mike

The 1/24 raider should be done for springtime, wish it could be earlier but so much on my plate right now.

Thanks Mike.

I'm going to be cheeky and ask is there any chance of you doing an AB Raider from Galactica 1980?

Best,

Peter

I would say not likely, my next priority after the 1/24 raider would be to do some ragtags in scale with the 37 inch battlestar, as usual i am sure real life will get in the way, but it would be cool to get at least a couple of them done.
