My Revell 30th Anniversary Raider Model - Newest Vid

Post by Starbuck » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:04 am

Hi all. :salute: I am filming vids with my Raider model and attempting to make semi-realistic space vids...
This is my second attempt, using VERY meager methods and Adobe CS5.5...

No wonder why they can't hit a thing after a flight like that...

LOL!

Thanks for the votes of confidence. :salute:

I REALLY like how my Raider model looks at the end shot when shown from the top. The lighting is almost perfect and the detail really shows up. I'm getting better but I still need LOTS of practice. I can't believe it took nearly 10 hours to make this.

I'm having trouble blending the background stars (space) with the Raider. If I do it with After Effects, I have to mask out the Raider FRAME BY FRAME which takes HOURS and is murder on my mouse hand.
The results are great though, like the very first clip with the Raider flying by the planet.

The rest of it I did by simply blending with Premiere Pro, (MUCH quicker) which results in the stars having to be turned way down in brightness but they still shine through the Raider.
