Oh wow! 35 years later, we finally got a Battlestar model which has a decent likeness of the filming miniature.

Thank you Moebius Models! :salute:

Someone did some great work on the build, and good photography.

More pics! This kit continues to amaze!

The stand concerns me - while I love the design on it, it seems awfully small to support something with such a high center of gravity. It doesn't look like it would take much to knock the model over along the long axis, in either direction. I think I'll have to get one of those wider wooden bases from Michael's or something to shore up the support, as I do want to keep the base design.

The grid lines seem palatable, once painted in a common color, however, provided they're not over-weathered. A welcome realization.
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.

The stand might be a bit small, but the weight of it could be enough to keep it strong enough. The photos is making this a must have piece.

Perhaps they'll revise the display stand before release.

Here's one more photo of the Cylon Raider:

Cool pic of what looks like a styrene test shot, so far the finished ones we have seen is the resin prototype. Really can't wait to paint a couple of these....

Just got my shipping notice for the 1/32nd Moebius viper, looking forward to playing around with it. I think I will be adding in the hero panel lines on at least one of them, will post a build thread if anyone is interested.
