Ok got pointed to this & have to interject.
I read your producing a studio scale Raider Kit?
There is already a studio scale Raider Kit in the market.
Of which I own the paterns for.
Moebius is pending a 1/32 Raider also which is studio scale which is based off my paterns aquired from MSLZ22 Models.
It seems you guys keep knocking on answered doors.
How about you make some models no one's done yet.
Some originality would go along way in the communities.......................

As I understand it Studio Scale is 1/24 (for fighter sized ships) - Moebius Models new Radier & Viper are 1/32 scale - commonly known as "Aircraft Scale" which I imagine was chosen to match their other BSG kits as well as all the other large scale aircraft kits on the market (Not to mention being very close to the 1/35 "Armor Scale" ground vehicles as well).

As for someone building another SS Raider - while it may just be the "Same old Same old" to some people - I have total respect for anyone that takes this task on as for most it can be downright EXPENSIVE as you have to purchase untold number of kits to get the parts - and since BSG was made in the 70's - many of these kits are no longer around and have to be hunted down through secondary markets. Having built well over a 1,000 production models myself and a few kitbashed and scratchbuilt ones I know for what I speak.

While I am pleased you own the original plans for the SS Raider - perhaps you could post some pics for the rest of us - maybe you would do better to help produce the source material to encourage more to branch out instead of dumping on someone's efforts who is at least trying.

Ok so formerly known as 'omes72' & is now jawsmodels for my kits.

Firstly Tinman here is a link to my website I think you should check out
http://www.studioscalemodelers.com/
I believe you will find nearly all the Parts Maps required for a ss Raider build.
I spend what little of my spare time buyin vintage kits & looking for parts on these studio miniatures we all love so much.
Something I share through my website & others freely.

Secondly you are correct in saying the Viper studio miniatures are 1/24 however the Raider studio miniatures are 1/32.
They did use some Revell models later down the track.

Hope this post answers those statements from yours.

In the case of my statement aboutr "knocking on answered doors", I think you will need to dig deeper into the community & art of what we do.

Apart from the above I sell studio scale kits under JAWS MODELS
You can see them at my site.
Here is a link.
