Re: Studio Scale BSG Shuttle GAL 356
Not on this one. That was a set piece that did that with the land ram coming out, not the filming model. It was the same for the hatch that the actors went through in and out of the shuttle in the landing bay.
I'm trying to go for as much studio model accuracy to the original filming model as possible.
There have been some really good builds of the shuttle where the whole cockpit and seating area is built out inside to match the interior set. These look really cool but the studio model didn't have this.

Who built theirs with the filming set interiors? I'd like to see those builds.

My Land Ram has the seats in it, but currently is out in FL being repaired, after I told someone NOT to touch it, and they did, and dropped it and broke it so it is off to be repaired. The number is being replaced on the side also to match the screen used sign I have.omes72 wrote:Who built theirs with the filming set interiors? I'd like to see those builds.

I guess there's an upload limit of 3 pics?
Here's the other shuttle, by Marc Elkins.

I really like the interior shots.
Are you going to build your shuttle just like that?

That is very cool. Love those photos. The 4th one all the floor lay out isn't correct I like the way it looks more than the correct lay out. Great job on the builds how ever built them.

These builds are very cool but I'm going with the studio model interior. The parts for that came with the kit so it will be a lot easier too.

Re: Studio Scale BSG Shuttle GAL 356
The weather was gloomy all weekend and it kept me in the workshop the whole time. I loved every minute of it and feeling good that I made some progress on the shuttle. Especially since I crossed the line of having more parts glued on than sitting in bags or bins.
I dug through my hardware bins and found a pan-head screw that just matches the one on the rear deck in the B&W image.

Thank goodness for cloudy weather. The build is looking of so good. Thanks for sharing the updates, and remove the extra parts and pieces off the shelf.

Thanks guys. Getting the armature figured out on this one was a PITA but worth it in the end. It's nice to finally see it really taking shape with the greeblies going on the top side.
I ordered up some plastic coated wire for the sides. I'll need that to finish off the side detailing. I'll get the final parts on the bottom side next, I reckon.
