Good point. The BOG Cylon tank also ROCKS!

Re: Groupleaderzeta's other projects and experiments
Its been a while since I posted in this thread. I have gone back into working with metal. I am finishing up a Japanese armour project I started about a year ago.
I am at the point of getting ready to paint. It is called a happrui (type of facial armour worn by the samurai).

Re: Groupleaderzeta's other projects and experiments
I thought I would post a update.
The Happuri is done and sold.
I am almost finished with this Japanese Karuta styled shoulder guard called "Sode" All I have left is to stitch on the backing material.
Current project is a Japanese Helmet called a "Kabuto". My version will not be as fancy as the one in photo.

Nice choice for a new project!
Can't wait to see your version...
Somehow, the helmet reminds me of these:

Re: Groupleaderzeta's other projects and experiments
All, After about 6 years my doctor has given me the OK to return to pounding metal. I had severely damaged my right shoulder and elbow. I was told that if I did not stop hammering, I would loose function of the arm. I was told I could return hammering on a limited basis. So for the last 5 weeks I have been working on my first helmet since my injury. It is a Japanese samurai Kabuto. All that remains is the tie cord. My goal is to have the complete armour for Halloween.

Very cool, and the color really pops out.
