:cylongold: Great Time Had By All! :cylongold:

:cylon: It was a privilage for me to be invited to Dale's and to meet with my Cylon brothers and to see up close the Amazing collection and display Dale has put together as well as the props and things others brought to the gathering. .....

Hand Shaub was there with many of his props and art work and it truly was a treat.

Seeing Brian's masks of the IL series and the Cylon Citizen both flanking Skullbeast's Imperious Leader mask eloquently displayed and all three lit up was Spectacular! ....

Hand Shaub is a acomplished artist of the highest caliber and I was very impressed with all of his work he had at the gathering and I can tell you that the Romanesque Style portrait of Baltar dressed in full Gold Cylon armour holding his helmet is magnificent!...The quality of the painting has the same feel and grandeur of the old masters and the protraits of the ancient conquerors. Awesome work from a very talented Cylon!

dbhs was there and brought some models he built and I am sure everyone will agree that the Studio Scale shuttle was nothing less than a Masterpiece. I chatted somewhat indepth with dbhs about his build and as a fellow modeler I can tell you not only is he very talented but he is also very intense when it comes to detail and accuracy and has spent countless hours researching and making sure every detail no matter how small, was not over looked....

dbhs's efforts absolutly pay omage to the great studio model builders of the 70's that have become all but exstinct with the advent of computer graphics. John Dykstra would be proud!....Great job! dbhs!

As we drank Ambrosia from Galactica Glassware and enjoyed cigars from Starbucks humidor standing in the museum quality exhibit surrounded by screen used props, costumes and artifacts it was an absolute delight to socialize with the other 30 to 40 something die hard BSG TOS geeks like myself...

I was able to get a few souvenier photos with my old wore out kodak digi but Hand Shaub took many shots with his pro cam and I am looking forward to seeing them posted.

Dales Collection and display is truly amazing and I would say that Dale wins hands down for the Title of "Supreme Guarding of the Cylon heritage"......Of course the crown jewel of the collection is the screen used Cylon Centurion complete from head to tow with weapons but Dale has created an outstanding exibition of all things Old School Galactica from a Colonial Worrier helmet, Blasters, Basestar, Raider, Viper and rover minatures, original poster photos, Cubits and pyramid cards, Adamas broach, it was a true honor for all of us to don the uniform of the Colonial Worrier and pose next to Dales full size close up cockpit complete with working canopy I can only hope that my David Casidy 70's period haircut contributed to the illusion. A great time had by all indeed.

Thanks Al, and it was a real fun time last night. Met a few new faces to attach to the user name. Thank you very much for the nods and other accolades. Brian aka Hand Shaub did both the Cylon mask that flaked the Leaders mask.

I met someone there named "Doug" but I think he was a Trek guy crashing the party. Sneaky bastard !

I will be posting some of my own pictures and some further comments as soon as I can but wanted to give a big "THANK YOU" to Dale for being a great host and say what a pleasure it was to finally meet everyone.

Below are a few of my photos. Dale's collection is certainly impressive. The Cylon costume has to be the crowing piece and is very impressive and imposing. The display room was really well done and looks as professional as any museum could be. The lighting was also a key element to show off all of the pieces properly and was well done.

A few other pieces of interest were the Indiana Jones journal replica and I also liked the Ghostbusters floor trap. Brian's painting of Baltar was excellent.
