pet peeves with the re-imagining

Pyramid/Triad
This was always a pet peeve of mine.
In the original series Pyramid was the card game and the "sport" was Triad
I don't think we ever really get the name of the card game in the new series bur for some reason they switched Pyramid from the card game to the sport and I started getting confused about what they were talking about in certain scenes.
ie: in the miniseries Starbuck, Boomer, Tigh, Helo, and one other crew member are playing what us Classic Galactica fans know as "Pyramid" when Helo says this
'You guys catch that Pyramid game on Gemenon?"......
Wait, what?!? has Pyramid joined....er, preceded poker in having televised card game tournaments?
