Hello from British Columbia, Canada :)

Post by Wldfire » Thu Jul 21, 2016 8:01 pm

Hi there, my name is Ken and I just turned 47 today LOL ;)
I have always been a huge fan of BSG since I was a kid and it first came out.
Lately I started watching the Reboot series and just finished it last night. I enjoyed it very much as I had not seen it before as I was
pig headed and had issues with the changes of the structure and characters. I wish i had not been pig headed as I loved the series other then the end was a let down I feel.
I plan to start watching the original tomorrow and really looking forwards to it as it has been years.
My dream is to put together a Cylon Helmet for display with the lights and sound. :cylon:

I collect many things from old Robot toys from when I was young to detailed action figures to Video Arcade games.
Really happy to find this site and join up.

Thank you.
Ken

Welcome, welcome Ken! And happy birthday.

Good deal you have completed New BSG and will be rewatching classic BSG now... go Muffit! ;)

Your Centurion head display sounds great. Are you going to add some wires and electronic bits hanging out of the bottom for a little dismemberment effect? (Wire harness off an old computer power supply or car dash are a quick addition for instant Cylon guts.)
 :censored: :nah:

Post often and enjoy the site! Looking forward to seeing your robot collection if you have some photos, sounds cool.

Thanks so much for the reply and birthday wishes. It was a wonderful low key birthday with my family.

Really have been enjoying watching BSG, will be starting to watch the original in a few hours when i hit the workshop :)

That is a amazing idea to have wires and stuff coming out the bottom like it was ripped off! Wow never thought of that!!!
I am so going to do that now! Thank you for the idea.

I will take some pictures of my little robots and post them. Mostly early battery operated and wind up robots, but ones I remember as a kid but we did not have the money to get, so kinda nice as a adult being able to get these things. Kind of like with BSG, always loved anything to do with it, so time to actually make some of that happen.

Really thrilled to be part of this page and group.
Thank you again.
Ken

Thank you very much Ian!
Everyone has been so kind and helpful.
Its really great to have places like this to get like minded people together from all around the world.
Its also nice that BSG is a world wide interest and not just local to say the USA.
Thank you.
Ken
