From the Brian Bero Effects Collection

Post by GoldCylon » Mon Aug 06, 2012 9:05 pm

Brian Bero sent me a note the other day, and these cool photos. He saw some photos I posted, and replied back with this email.

Regarding the artwork by Tone Rodriguez..

Tone worked with me on the artwork from the treatment and partial script I wrote for this as to be a tv series and NOT with Richard Hatch... if I remind Tone, I'm sure he would agree.

I still have all the original artwork as well as our treatments and complete three year story arc, series bible, sculpted maquets, etc.. which also included pivotal episode treatments.

These were not made for Richards movie... but Richard was in the shop and saw our designs... which several mysteriously ended up in his fan film.

Our hero Cylons suits were to be made of metal as there were several different styles needed, which parts could be changed out and used on both types of warriors. At the time, we also had discussions with Terry English for the armour builds.

We were in talks with Glen Larson on the idea, but DeSanto's canceled project was already in the works.

Hope this helps.

Brian

This is related to the posting Peter Noble posted around Feb 2011. This helped fill in some of the gaps after his research from a eBay listing.

Wow...just when I thought I've seen everything BSG, something new like this pops up. Love it! :salute:
I may appear unoccupied to you, but at the molecular level, I'm really quite busy.
