I like it! You can use the flash module part from a cheap disposable camera. It works great...BUT be very careful and don't get shocked!

An easier, and safer method is to use side-throwing super-bright LEDs (3 or4) surrounding the main pulse LED and wired in series or parallel with the main LED. You could also throw a switch in for the side LEDs to simulate a stun effect--if using different colors.
