A few helmet photos
Here are photos that are when the helmets were being built, and a few failed concept designs that just didn't have or were to scary. Yeah scary.

Great stuff GoldCylon!
I like the design on the back of the helmet on the first pic... I think it's neat - would have been okay to see that on the final ones.

A few helmet photos
Very cool stuff my friend.
If "they" say it can't be done, it just means "they" cant do it.

You can see the Old Egypt design trend in the crests - cool stuff indeed. I like how they worked that into the show, give a connection to Earth's culture - yet they still seem different (out of our world) at the same time.

Yeah, I also like the first helmet. I kinda dig the arrow designs.
Oh, FRACK! But I didn't say frack, I said the Queen Mother of all dirty words! The F, dash, dash, dash, dash word!

Re: A few helmet photos
The helmet ornaments seems a lot like early Star Trek uniform logos. They all had different "assignment patchs" that they used (more info link). Later they adopted the Enterprise assignment patch to be the standard logo you think of when you think of "Starfleet" (pic link).
The Colonials seemed to be headed that way in these concept helmets. Each Battlestar would have its unique helmet look. Something cool to set the characters apart with a quick visual - and hey - a way to sell more merchandise heehee

Indeed there is! Great eye, trooper18938.
And in that same photo, I wonder why there is a hole in the back of the Viper helmet? Maybe for a power cord to the light system???

Re: A few helmet photos
That was the original goal when I started the site. Show off photos that had never been seen before, and the forum was a after thought the site web master at the time suggested I look into. Since no one at the time had a dedicated site on the Cylon's, or a Cylon builders forum I agreed, and today the original is still the biggest, and best Cylon builders site thanks to the members making this happen.viper73 wrote:those are cool!! ive never seen them before
