Do you use glue to secure it, and if so, what kind?

You might pick up a hard hat at a home improvement store and use it's "insides" in your helmet.

Hmm not a true statement. My Krops suit has both sides of the boot covered but no bands on the gloves. Must have stopped doing that.

What hes refering to is the chrome attachment on the top of the boot. On the Krop Suit boot the chrome piece is only on the outside of both boots but nothing on the inside. I guess they did that so when you walk they dont clip eachother. On a prototypical suit, the chrome piece goes all the way around the boot top.

Understood mine is two pieces per boot, both inner and outer. GC1

Interesting, when was your Krop built? mine was mad a year ago and photos from the new guy shows only outer boot pieces. I believe my gloves have the ring.

Yes, my boots only have the chrome on one side. My gloves did come with the chrome stripe on the end but I had to cut them off so the gloves would fit. I'm 5'7" and not a big guy and although the undersuit and leather spats can be altered to fit my size, the chrome parts were designed for someone taller. That's why I'm getting shoulder pads added so the chrome shoulder bells do not scrape the backpack.

Speaking of scrapes, I did pick up a small one during a fitting. It's not really noticable, but is there anything you can do about it, or just be more careful?

In 2003 or 2004. Mine was the first gold cylon Scott had made. My Helmet also has zero seams which I asked for special. My gloves which I have now been replaced with Armadillo gloves. After close inspection of the gloves that came with Scotts suit a gold lame material is attached to the top. Is this the case with yours or is there an actual vacuform band?

The short answer is no. These pieces scratch and scrape easily. I

Well, I never bought this with the intention of re-sale, I bought it for fun. I'd rather risk some nicks and scratches to have the coolest costume at Halloween or a convention rather than let it collect dust in my living room. A few boo boos on the suit never hurt Bobba-Fett any, and I bet the overall effect of the suit will deter from a few scratches. If anyone ever notices I'll put it down to Colonial "battle damage".

Hopefully my alterations to the undersuit will be done soon and I can post some new pics.

Cheers to all cylon brethren.

When I used to do chroming I would sell my mistakes as battle damaged pieces. They were chromed chemical burns, and looked like laser blast burns.

I did make a Red Eye helmet, and that was just a dented helmet. It came out perfect, and burns and other marks had to be added by the new owner.
