My 1st Star Trek prop

Post by GoldCylon » Fri Dec 25, 2009 11:26 am

Well I decided to go Big, I mean REAL BIG on my 1st screen used Trek piece, and why not the price was right. Now that it takes up my garage parking space what do I do. This was used in Star Trek (2009) ... anyone need a drink?..LoL.

I can't say I remember seeing that. Can you post a screen cap?

It is big. Maybe turn it into a hot tub? A starfleet academy hot tub !!

I didn't buy the DVD of the movie, but I recall the scene. It was early in the movie at Star Fleet Academy. There were 2 of them, and the 2nd one was 3 times taller. They were directly behind the group of people.

Thanks that would be cool. I believe it was about 20 minutes into the film.

Wow that is 'interesting' I loved watching Star Trek as a kid with my Grandmother that i lived with most of my childhood years. I can't say I was ever a 'Trekky' but loved the memories of watching with her. the new movie revived those memories & hope theycontinue to make more movies to that standard. its just that Star trek never came up to the standard Star wars set & even Battlestar continued. It was always just a little to tripped out for me. Anyway nice prop. I'd go with the hot tub idea.

I was going off memory from when I saw it at the theater, so my timing was off. It was before they left for space, and at the academy. :erk:

I skimmed over the movie and thougt it would be in that part. When they are at the academy's "bus station" basically - with shuttles from all the Starships. There are MANY things all over the hanger. The tanks are probably there, but they must be small in the background or something. I can try to look again, but wow they must be on for only a second or something (or I'm just BLIND! :))

It is where Bones injects Kirk to make him sick to get him on the Enterprise, etc. That part.

I'll keep looking.

Perfect, hope it is around the 11th. That is the weekend, and have more time to share, but I'll take a day off if needed. Coming solo, or is this a family trip?
