Medieval Cylon Helm

Greetings! I am a Classic BSG fan, but not a reinactor (yet...). I mainly do medieval stuff, both SCA and jousting. I started making armour about a year ago and made my first helm about 2 months ago. After making 4 real ones, I decided to play a bit, here is my latest.

The helm is a combination of 12 gauge and 16 gauge steel. It is fully battle ready and can (and most likely will) take the punishment of a real, medieval helm (though it weighs half again as much as one of the heavier helms). I bought and put together a Larson Scanner Electronic Soldering Kit for the eye and it is behind a 50 cent black screen from Hobby Lobby. The voice is a recording on a gadget I found at "The Bear Mill" (Like build-A-Bear Workshop). It is placed right behind the grill and I can press it by using my tongue to push my lip into it. This way hopefully it is far enough away it won't get smashed, but I can still trigger it hands-free.

Had fun doing it!
