Re: Ralph McQuarrie Concept Cylon Lid
I know the locus of the topic is about the creation of a lid, however on the idea of McQuarrie Cylon armour this image is what I was eluding to when I suggest that this Cylon may look comparitively similar to that of say a clone-trooper or a stormtrooper.

I think this gives a good idea of how a full McQuarrie Centurion armor would look like:

Well funny you should mention the armour...
That was is to be my next project. The great thing with Mcquarrie is he has a very distinct look.
The armour of the cylons are very similar to that of the concept stormtrooper. So although there might not be detailed reference pictures of all the sides, we can create a set of armour in the image of Mcquarrie's style.
But that is a long way off....

Re: Ralph McQuarrie Concept Cylon Lid
So, what about the Leader's chair??
It is WAY UP THERE...
Are there stairs on the back of the stand?
Does the chair lower down inside the stand that itself a room, sort of like Darth Vader's chamber - with a door on the back or something?!
Wouldn't it be cool if the walls in the entire room were massive view screens (like the Enterprise bridge, etc.). Data all over the place, always moving and updating... cool.
Concept overload!

There is a opening around the chair like a moat and the ceiling appears to be fixed. I would assume based upon this concept art the throne rises into the ceiling for those pee breaks.....Cylon-Knight wrote:So, what about the Leader's chair??

Good you've mentioned the viewscreens inside the Imperious Leader's throne room.Cylon-Knight wrote:Wouldn't it be cool if the walls in the entire room were massive view screens (like the Enterprise bridge, etc.). Data all over the place, always moving and updating... cool.
David Kerin did a great job incorporating them in his fan edit of "Saga of a Star World":
"There can be no survivors. So long as one human remains alive the Alliance is threatened."
