steampunk r2 unit

Post by rustycylon » Sun Nov 23, 2014 12:41 pm

been thinking of an r2 unit for a while but I am a little limited on funds and I like to do something a little different.
At the NEC the weekend I saw a steampunk Vader helmet, so I was thinking a steampunk r2 would be an easier, quicker and cheaper build.
What do you think?

Sounds like a great idea! You could do so many creative steam powered twists to R2's design. :)

Maybe after R2 - how about a Steampunk IL Series?! :IL:
...could do some cool "mech" stuff up under his clear head dome.

Looks GREAT rusty!
Are you working from blue prints? Or just eye-balling your droid?
