Good point, GoldCylon!! I'd be scared, too; in a little ship like a Cylon Raider seeing a big battlestar coming at me!! :wtf:

Fire in Space wasn't TOTALLY bad... it got more into the characters and ship-board life. Not so much the "FIGHT EVIL ROBOTS" as most other episodes.

The extra sets in the ship were cool.

Yes, you are right... they did cut way back. That's why you also see less and less of the Cylons near the end. The suits were too much... cheaper to have a guy in an Eastern Alliance shirt and pants than repair MANY EXPENSIVE robot costumes. Rotten penny pinchers.

Although not my favorite, I must admit that I really liked that episode, it's in my top 5.
It was very dramatic. I REALLY liked the editing I.L.M. did with the raider that blew up just before crashing into the bridge! THAT was a fresh piece of work, NICE to see so much detail, after having to endure all the recycled scenes...

You can see the vipers' red lasers impacting the Galactica, and see the laser that hits the raider and destroys it. INCREDIBLE that its explosion could do that much damage to the Galactica's bridge, when it was still 100's of feet away. Had the raider hit the Galactica intact, 'packed' with all that Solenite, it would have destroyed the bridge and killed everyone stationed there. Indeed would have been the end of the Galactica.

-Talk about recycled scenes and budget, although I loved 'The Hand Of God', the recycled scenes at the ending battle were HORRIBLE quality! They must have been totally out of money by the ending of the episode editing. My 80's VCR would have made better dubs than that...

Watching on dvd shows a huge difference between the fresh scenes and the recycled ones, at the ending battle.

man I used to watch this show as many times a day I could. Now I can not think of any of the names.

I will always remember Sheba though!!!!

You're thinking of Count Iblis from the two part episode - War of the Gods (parts I and II). (And he did the voice in the intro, too, you got it.)

This one, right?

Well, is no 1 but,,,

Saga of a Star World pts 1 & 2
War of the Gods pts 1 & 2
Greetings from Earth pts 1 & 2
Hand of God

Those are my favs.

Although War of the Gods was a great play and a great part played by Patrick MacNee,
the effects were good and bad.(though in hindsight)
I only wished they showed WHAT was in that Crashed Ship

but I think most got whatever the Director Producer was conveying at the time.
-ever get that feeling from a movie trailer you cant wait to see it-
that is what it does to me.

Aside from the original pilot, My favorites (in order) are Lost Planet of the Gods, The Hand of God, War of the Gods and The Young Lords. I swear I didn't plan a theme there!
